Corey Lewandowski Removed from Super PAC Role
Lewandowski fired from pro-Trump super PAC
Former campaign manager had been overseeing organization
Corey Lewandowski, a longtime political adviser to Donald J Trump, was removed on Wednesday from his role overseeing a super PAC. The news comes after Lewandowski reportedly had a falling out with Trump's inner circle.
Lewandowski, who was Trump's first campaign manager, left the campaign in 2016 after a series of controversial incidents. He then went on to work for a number of other pro-Trump organizations, including the super PAC America First Action.
The reasons for Lewandowski's removal from America First Action are not entirely clear. However, reports suggest that he had a falling out with Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and other top Trump advisers.
Lewandowski's removal is a significant blow to Trump's efforts to maintain control of the Republican Party. Lewandowski was one of Trump's most loyal supporters, and his departure could signal that Trump is losing support within his own party.
