Many Windows users are experiencing Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors following a recent update to CrowdStrike's Falcon Sensor for Windows. The issue has been confirmed by CrowdStrike, and they have released a workaround.
If you are experiencing this issue, you can try the following steps to resolve it:
1. Boot into Safe Mode
To boot into Safe Mode, follow these steps:
- Restart your computer.
- As soon as you see the Windows logo, press and hold the Shift key.
- Continue holding the Shift key until you see the Advanced Startup Options menu.
- Click on the Troubleshoot option.
- Click on the Advanced Options option.
- Click on the Startup Settings option.
- Click on the Restart button.
- Once your computer restarts, you will see a list of startup options.
- Press the F4 key to boot into Safe Mode.
2. Rename the CrowdStrike Folder
Once you have booted into Safe Mode, you need to rename the CrowdStrike folder. To do this, follow these steps:
- Open File Explorer.
- Navigate to the following folder:
- Right-click on the CrowdStrike folder and select Rename.
- Rename the folder to CrowdStrike-old.

3. Restart Your Computer
Once you have renamed the CrowdStrike folder, restart your computer. You should now be able to boot into Windows normally.
