Speed Limit at Ravenstein to Be Lifted This October

Temporary Speed Limit to End Soon

According to SpoorPro, the temporary speed limit (TSB) at Ravenstein will be lifted in October. The TSB, which has been in place since 2018, restricts trains to a speed of 40 km/h between kilometers 483 and 508.

Reason for the Delay

The lifting of the speed limit has been delayed due to the installation of flower boxes, which were intended to force drivers to slow down. However, this measure was not effective, and the speed limit will remain in place until the flower boxes can be removed.

Impact on Train Traffic

Once the speed limit is lifted, trains will be able to travel at speeds of up to 120 km/h. This will improve the efficiency of rail traffic and reduce travel times.
